‘Ca del Merlo Rosso’ is a full-bodied single-vineyard red wine produced by the estate of the late Giuseppe Quintarelli in Valpolicella. It is the only single-vineyard bottling of the estate and is made up mostly of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella with a small amount of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo and Croatina. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged on the fine lees for several months before bottling.
