Founded in 1902, Bodega Catena Zapata is perhaps the most famous winery in Argentina and has been at the forefront of resurrecting the Malbec grape variety whilst establishing itself as one of the pre-eminent fine wine producers in the country. This Mendozan Malbec is produced from the estate`s Mundus Bacillus Terrae parcel of vines, spanning 1.4ha and sees around 18 months aging in French oak. A beautifully ageworthy red, structured by good acidity and well built tannnins.
