Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard Mundus Bacillus Terrae 2019 is a single-vineyard Malbec from the Mendoza region of Argentina. The name of this wine pays tribute to the to the soil rhizobacteria which live symbiosis with the vines in the high-altitude Adrianna vineyard at 1,450m above sea level. The wine is produced from a specific parcel within the vineyard. This wine was fermented with whole bunches and matured in used oak barrels for 18 months. "This is a really deep, decadent red, showing incredibly rich black soil, black olives and violets. Full body and rich tannins that exude power and intensity. Lots of white pepper and black fruit in the aftertaste. Extremely persistent. This is a bottle for the cellar." James Suckling, 2021
