Isole e Olena is located in the western section of Chianti Classico, positioned just north of the village of Castellina. The estate spans 45 hectares of vineyards, strategically planted at elevations ranging from 350 to 450 meters above sea level. The predominant soil type is galestro, characterized by its rocky and schistous clay composition. This particular release from the 1989 vintage is a testament to the ageing potential of Chianti Classico. Expect notes of dried fruit compote, including sun-soaked raisins, combined with hints of balsamic.
