Ornellaia 2018 is a cuvée of 51% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. With its usual deep ruby red colour, the wine presents itself with a vibrant and intense aromatic expression. Red fruits, citrus notes, hints of liquorice and Mediterranean scrub come together to form its nose. On the palate, the tannins feel dense and silky in texture. The finish is lifted by a distinct tangy strain that enhances the sensation of freshness and persistence.
