Situated in Wairarapa, Schubert is a New Zealand winery founded by Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling in 1998. The Block B Pinot Noir is crafted from 100% destemmed grapes, undergoing a cold maceration and fermentation in stainless-steel vats, with an extended skin contact of 3–4 weeks. It matures in French barriques [45% new] for 18 months. The wine exhibits a gentle, nuanced, floral fruit profile, concluding with a dry, herbal finish that unfolds with genuine charm along the way.
