Now one of Italy’s most recognised and celebrated fine wines, Tignanello is a blend of mostly Sangiovese with lesser parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from a single vineyard in the heart of Chianti Classico. The 2019 vintage saw ideal climatic conditions from the end of August through to October, enabling the different grape varieties to reach optimum ripeness.
Notes of strawberries and pomegranates mingle with stone fruit, floral and sweet spice and herbal complexity on the nose. A mouth filling palate with vibrant tannins carries through to a bitter chocolate and roasted coffee finish.
