Concha Y Toro Don Melchor 2021 is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon blend from the Alto Maipo Valley of Chile. Don Melchor is the jewel in the crown of the Concha y Toro portfolio. It is named after the founder of the estate, Don Melchor de Concha y Toro, who founded what would go on to become one of the most successful wine companies in the world, in 1883. Produced from Cabernet vines in the prized Andes-influenced terroir of Puente Alto in the Alto Maipo Valley, the 2021 Don Melchor is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot, and was matured for 15 months in French oak barrel. This is one of the best vintahges in recent years, displaying tremendous aromatic complexity and fruit expression.
